Film and TV Students and Alums Win Big
Congratulations to filmmakers for the recent recognition of their impressive work.
Film and Television BFA students who produced “Behind His Eyes” won the 2024 National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’(NATAS) Chicago/Midwest National Student Production Award in the Long Form category. And the alumni-made film “The Light of Truth: Richard Hunt’s Monument to Ida B. Wells” took home the Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary at the Chicago International Film Festival.
The BFA thesis film “Adagio” was also nominated for a NATAS award; NATAS is the organization behind the Emmys. Students from both “Behind His Eyes” and “Adagio” attended the Chicago/Midwest Emmy award ceremony on November 2 where the student awards were presented.
